I’m listing all the countless things I enjoy in an effort to eliminate them for the new year to meet my regular new years resolution. Be healthier.  I’ve mentally prepared myself for the challenge and stocked up on nutritious foods and snacks. I’ve been to the gym regularly and I’m amped up on my new routine including aerobics, running, yoga, and spinning. This Bordeaux blend and El Dorado Syrah will be for sale at the DGV tasting room after our February wine club release.  Please see the “wine club” section for more information about these two appealing wines.

Rose is Underway
After skipping a year of Rose production, winemaker Mari Wells has decided to bring back the Rhone classic with an enjoyable 2006 vintage.  Our carefully crafted Rose is dry and done in the Rhone style, composed of Grenache and Mourvedre with a touch of Counoise to create a lively wine with hints of citrus.  Look for this distinct Rose to come out in early spring.

Wine Club

Syrah finally returns to the bar!  The February release will include our 2003 Rive d’ Or and the long awaited 2004 Syrah.  The 2004 vintage proves to be every bit as good as the previous award winning Syrahs.  And, for something new on the bar, the Rive d’ Or is our take on a classic Bordeaux blend.  It is mainly composed of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a bit of Merlot and touch of Malbec coming together to complete this scrumptious wine.  Packages will be available beginning at 4:00pm on February 10th at the
Wine Club Release Party.  Hope to see you there!

Members of the Month: Alan and Judy Courtney! 
Alan and Judy are always willing to lend a helping hand around the winery, whether it be devising new ideas for the wine club or contributing their muscles during summer bottling sessions.  Alan has personally touched each one of the 2004 Syrah bottles being released in the next club shipment (some of them twice due to a bottling mishap), so we know they are destined for greatness!  Thank you Judy and Alan for all you contribute as members of our club.  Please come in to receive your "member of the month" apparel item!
