Audio Book Club by David Girard

As we visit with our guests over a taste of our wine, we often talk of what books we’ve been reading and have enjoyed.  In these conversations, we’ve found that many people now listen to audio books as often as they read the paper versions.  In fact, I myself am among this group. 

The other day, I loaned an audio book to a guest and was kindly offered an audio book to borrow in return.  That got me thinking: maybe, since many of our guests travel a bit to visit us, an audio book may be listed to along the way.  Maybe other of our guests would like to share an audio book they’ve enjoyed with their fellow patrons and borrow an audio book donated by another patron in return.

With this in mind, we have established an audio book borrowing library in the tasting room.  If you'd like to borrow an audio book or donate one to the library, we'll make them available to anyone who would like to take advantage of the opportunity.  We have set up a little book case so you can browse.  So take a look when you come in.

While we work to perfect the art of winemaking using our estate Rhone varietals, nature is really the greatest factor in what we do. Just like farmers, winemakers become meteorologists during harvest. Our passion drives us to stay up at night for the latest forecast on local channels, search internet reports for weather, and make predictions on what decision will result in the best wine quality.

DGV Tasting Room Open Friday - Sunday 11:00-5:00

Due to the popularity of our Rosé and white wines, we have only limited quantities available. We anticipate at the end of October that we will be bottling our 2007 Rosé. The next release of our 2007 Rosé will be Spring ’08!

We are sorry, but 2005 was our last vintage of Chardonnay.

Wine Club Member Terrace

We are pleased to announce that our new Wine Club Member Terrace is now open.  The terrace has been created especially for the exclusive use of David Girard Vineyards’ Wine Club Members.  The new vista is flanked by two well-seasoned oaks that provide a bit of welcome shade for the bistro tables and their umbrellas.  The gentle waterfall helps to set a mood of quiet contemplation as you look out over the pond, hills, and vines.  It’s a peaceful spot where you can simply sit and enjoy your favorite bottle of our wine and perhaps some bread, cheese or other complimentary pairing.

As you arrive, we would be very appreciative if you would check in at the tasting room first.
