Friday Night Winter Wine-Down!

Join David Girard Vineyards on Friday Evening as we begin a free 6 week music series: The tasting room will be open until 8PM each Friday evening and will feature live music. Come by and check out wine specials offered only on Friday evenings from 5:30-8PM. Wines will available by the glass or bottle. Stop by after work or drop in after dinner & stay awhile! Either way, we'd love you to wine-down with us! No cover charge.

DGV Winemaker Mari Wells Coyle will be teaching a series of classes starting January 2010. You can learn about wine making, the Rhone region and much more! The fee for the four classes is $90.00 for wine club members $120.00 for non-club members. Per class fee is $25 for club members & $35.00 for non members.

Friday Night Winter Wine-Down with Frankie Soul! This talented musician features a combination of Blues, Classic Rock, and Country by artists such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Eagles, THe Beatles, Ben Harper, Ricky Skaggs, etc. Something for just about everyone! Frankie plays the 6-string and 12 string guitars, nylon-string classical guitar, and dobro. Come and kick off your weekend with No cover fee. Enjoy wines by the bottle or glass, wine specials & more. Tessa Evans and Tom Whinnery will be back for an encore preformance! If you missed them on 1/29, this is your chance to hear them again! Tessa's sound is neo-soul-jazz-blues. Her influences are Etta James, Nora Jones, Bonnie Raitt & Billie Holiday to name just a few. Come check her out & be carried away. Tessa will be teaming up with keyboard player Tom Whinnery who has played here previously with Steelin' Dan. No cover fee. Enjoy wines by the bottle or glass, wine specials & more. February 26: Friday Night Winter Wine-Down 5:30-8:00

Kick off your weekend right with a little Mojo! - Jonny “Mojo” Coming from the Northern California's Sierra Nevada foothills, Jonny Mojo has created quite a name in his local area. Jonny is quoted in the Mountain Democrat as “Placerville's hardest working musician – hands down.” Performing at many music festivals including the Summer Solstice Music Festival, American River Music Festival, and the Northern California Blues Festival. Jonny Mojo has also opened for headling acts such as Elvin Bishop , Joe Craven, and Tom Rigney & Flambeau. With a foundation in blues, Mojo transcends genres blending rock, folk, fusion, bluegrass and more. What really shines through in his performance is the heart felt passion for music.

March 5: Friday Night Winter Wine-Down 5:30-8:00

Dane's music can best be described as a mix of new and old. His distinct sound encompasses the range of his influences, taking cues from pop, jazz, rock, r&b, reggae, folk, soul, and blues. His guitar work is reminiscent of Santana and SRV, while the vocal work comes from the Motown Era, all with a modern twist on it which grabs your attention immediately. Whether he is doing a solo acoustic gig or playing with the full band, his talent is showcased both through his sultry original work and ability to play covers effortlessly.
